2012 EIIR
DIAMOND JUBILEE CHALLENGE
This Challenge is the BWF celebration of the Queen's Diamond
Jubilee. Walkers who take part will have an opportunity to
visit many places and sites associated with the reign of Queen
Elizabeth II. A Jubilee PT has a route that has connection with the Queen, be it passing through a
'Queen
Elizabeth Park', passing a statue of the Queen or a building opened
by the Queen. A Queen's Royal residence PT passes one of her homes.
As well as counting for the Diamond Jubilee Challenge, Jubilee PTs
and count for the
BWF 100 PT Challenge.
This Challenge is points-based with the following levels of achievement:
- Bronze 15 points
- Silver 25 points
- Gold 50 points
- Diamond 60 points
The lowest level is primarily for families with smaller children and
people with mobility difficulties. It requires some effort but
should be comfortably within the range of those group's abilities.
Conversely, achievement at the highest level requires significant
effort and commitment. The Challenge uses both Club events and
Permanent Trails allowing maximum opportunity for participants.
Points will be awarded as follows:
- Club event or PT 2 points
- Jubilee PT 3 points
- Queen's Royal Residence PT 3 points
Walkers will be limited to 4 events or PTs of any Club, including Jubilee or Queen's Royal Residence PTs. Thus, the maximum number of walks required to attain the highest level is 30 spread over 10 Clubs (for the purposes of the Challenge the BWF is regarded as a Club).
Jubilee PTs and Royal Residence PTs will have a unique stamp centre valid for one year only.
