2012 EIIR
DIAMOND JUBILEE CHALLENGE TRAIL REGISTRATION

This page is a guide for Organisers when determining if a Permanent Trail qualifies for the 2012 EIIR Diamond Jubilee Challenge.  It also provides information about registering these trails.

JUBILEE PTs
All BWF clubs can register new Permanent trails as a Jubilee PT and will not be charged a 2012 registration fee for this trail.

Jubilee PTs must have a connection with the reign of Queen Elizabeth II and this must be mentioned in the route description. For example:

  • Pass through a Queen Elizabeth Park
  • Pass a statue of the Queen
  • Pass a building opened by the Queen
  • Have any other connection with the Queen that can be verified

QUEEN’S ROYAL RESIDENCE PTs
The Queen has four official Royal Residences in the UK and there are existing trails that pass some of these.  Where a trail is already in existence this trail will be recognised as a Royal Residence PT in 2012. These are

  • Buckingham Palace, London
  • Windsor Castle
  • Sandringham House, Norfolk
  • Holyrood House, Edinburgh

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

  • Jubilee PTs will only be recognised as such for one year, but may be registered in subsequent years as a normal Permanent Trail.
  • Jubilee PTs should be approximately 10km.
  • The entry fee for Jubilee PTs should be £1.00

Jubilee PTs will receive a unique stamp centre valid for one year only. As well as counting for the Diamond Jubilee Challenge, Jubilee PTs will count for the BWF 100 PT Challenge.
