ROUTE DESCRIPTION  (Updated  03 July 2010)

Leave car park through small gate in corner and enter park by children’s play area. Turn right on tarmac footpath. Keep straight ahead at cross paths. Cross the footbridge, up steps to footpath (dismantled railway) and turn left.  Immediately after passing under a ‘supported’ arch turn left up steps into golf course (beware golf balls). Turn left and right along gravel track between avenue of popular trees towards large house. Cross wooden footbridge and immediately turn left, follow path around garden boundary, river on left.  On meeting track (back entrance to house) turn left uphill and pass through kissing gate to road.  Cross road with care to track opposite, through barrier and straight on, soon with houses on left and trees on right to junction with metalled track.  At track turn right towards farm, pass to right of farm buildings then turn right on grass track. Continue ahead to reach road in Keddington. Cross road, with care, turn left and immediately right into Mill Road.  Continue on road, over river, to Keddington Church and enter churchyard through the main gate.

Question 1 - Just inside churchyard, first gravestone on right. What date did George Brown die?

Leave churchyard and cross road with care into avenue of trees to Keddington Primary School. Continue on path to end and turn right on road (Silver Street).   At the Barnadiston Arms public house cross road with care and take lane to left of pub and follow lane/track/footpath for 2.5km approximately, keeping hedge/ditch on left.  When hedge ends take path slightly to right across open field to hedge. At hedge turn right into sunken path and follow path to road.

Question 2 -   At road there is a yellow hydrant ‘H’ sign on a signpost. What are the numbers within the H on the sign?

Turn left on road and in 20m turn right on footpath (dismantled railway). Continue ahead with houses to left. Pass under ‘supported’ arch and ahead with golf course on right.  At the end of golf course turn right down steps and cross footbridge on right. Turn right and left to continue up between an avenue of mature trees. At top turn left on grass towards children’s play area, car park and end of walk.
