ROUTE DESCRIPTION (Updated 1 September2007)
NOTE
– There are some steep inclines at the start
of this walk
Leave Coach Park and follow signs for
Pitlochry centre. At main road turn left, and at

Turn left and follow road to pass lay by and at 1st house on right turn right downhill on footpath. At end of first field cross 2 stiles and continue on fenced path. After crossing bridge over stream turn left through gate. At houses turn left along side of stream. Cross tarmaced area and go down track SP Black Spout Wood & Edradour. In 20m turns left through gate and follow edge of field to gate, go through gate and leave purple route. Cross stream and bear right up path through trees SP Black Spout Wood. Follow path around edge of field keeping fence to left and on reaching footbridge cross over and go up steps. Keep forward on left hand path and at junction of paths keep forward SP Black Spout & Edradour. At next junction bear left SP Edradour. At track crossroads turn right SP Black Spout, to reach a waterfall.

At V junction bear left following main path, at next V turn right and follow main path. Keep downhill following reverse of yellow route markers and Pitlochry signs. At track turn right SP Pitlochry & in 50m bear left SP Pitlochry. Continue through woodland following signs for Pitlochry. On reaching road, turn left downhill. At main road turn right to return to Pitlochry.
