A low level walk through woods and across heather-clad hills giving
magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. If you are fortunate
you may see Red Deer and other wildlife along the route.
LOTHIAN
Edinburgh Trail
(PT 44) - 10km Grade 2 Organised by Capital Trails Walking Club
The Edinburgh walk will give you a Scotland stamp. The walk then takes
you along the famous Princes Street, where you can shop till you drop.
You will see many places of interest as this old City is full of
history. There are art galleries, museums, theatres and of course
Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. The Royal Mile contains most
things that visitors require. Suitable for all ages.
Edinburgh Britannia Trail

Walking Club
This linear trail will show you the other side of Edinburgh's History.
It follows the route of the Water of Leith for the majority of the route
through once industrial areas where water power was harnessed. You will
pass through the Royal Botanic Gardens, an oasis of peace in such a busy
city.
Finishing
at the Ocean Terminal
shopping centre where the Royal Yacht Britannia is now moored.
TAYSIDE
Pitlochry Trail
(PT 121) - 10km Grade 2
Organised by British Walking Federation
Following
a short steep climb out of Pitlochry this walk takes you through
woodland. If you are feeling fit (or thirsty) there is a signposted
diversion to Edradour Distillery. You will eventually reach Black Spout
waterfall from where the walk descends. |
