NEAREST TOWN: Guilford - Leave
Guildford on A3 towards Godalming & Farnham in appx 2 miles turn left on to the
A31 which then passes over the A3 and after approx 1 mile TL sign posted
Puttenham. In appx 100 metres TL and in appx 300 metres TL into Puttenham and
after passing the church and before you get to the Good Intent Public House TL
into Suffield Lane. In 2km on right is Puttenham Common Top Car Park.

Leave the car park with
your back to the view and walk across the green picnic area diagonally to the
left and join a clearly defined track turn left, ignoring two small tracks on
left. In appx 300 metres pass a green metal gate on right. Continue on main
track passing new house on right, and descend to track/path crossing. Ahead
following the path in line with the overhead electric wires keep ahead on public
bridleway, ignore public bridleway on right and in appx 300 metres you will
arrive at a small open area with a marker post with mauve arrow (self guided
trail) on your left. Turn right and follow the foot path for appx 100 metres at
track junction turn right "

Puttenham village along The Street passing "Venzers Yard" on left to reach The
Good Intent pub on your left, turn right into

with great care and take the third road on the right called

Ahead up the field on well defined track. At top of field turn right at large oak tree to stile and road, cross stile turn left and proceed on the right hand side of the road facing traffic to pass Beryl Brown’s Kennels on left. Continue on this road for appx 600 metres ignoring the right turn to Cutmill and Puttenham but continue on road towards Elstead and Farnham, on your left is a farm named after a county.

Just past this farm you
will arrive at the river Wey and immediately before the bridge turn right on the
public footpath head away from the river to cross stile, proceed on footpath
with field on right passing an old war time shelter on right, ahead through
muddy woodland footpath to cross stream and ahead on track passing farm
buildings. At end of track pass through five bar wooden gate to reach road, turn
left and after 300 metres at road junction turn left towards Cutmill and
Puttenham. Continue on road passing "Sugarbaker House" on left. Ignore the
public bridleway on the right opposite "Gatwick Lodge" and continue on road
passing "Gatwick House" on left. Ignore further public bridleway on right
crossing stream and going round right hand bend ignoring public bridleway on
left. After passing “Cutmill Platts" and at lane which leads to "Cutmill
Cottage" bear right through wooden
bollards and proceed on bridleway through woods to reach gravel cross track.
Turn left and in 50 metres turn right across small bridge and ahead on path
keeping the lake on left to pass "Cutmill House” on right to reach driveway.
Turn right on driveway following the arrow to “Willow Cottage”. Pass "Garden
Cottage" on your right and keeping brick wall on your right pass Willow Cottage
on right and ahead uphill on footpath to eventually reach driveway. Turn right
and follow drive round to the left to pass "Rodsall Manor" on right. Ahead on
public bridleway.
Q4 - What is the
name of the cottage on the right
After appx 30 metres take the left fork and in appx 150 metres at yellow marker post turn left up steps continue on path to reach road. Cross road and enter car park and end of walk.
