ROUTE DESCRIPTION
Leave the Station Car Park opposite the public toilets and turn left towards the main road. Go left and then turn right along the residential road (signposted ’Cleveland Way’)to reach gate to cliff path
Q1 What is the name of the house to the left of the gate?
Go through the gate and follow the cliff path, passing the sigh to the railway path. You will soon pass the Rocket Post Field. In the Rocket Post Field there was a post that was used to practice sea rescues. A rocket with a line attached was fired to a to a stranded ship and the survivors would climb the rope to safety. Continue to follow the cliff path to reach a Caravan Park. Turn left and walk uphill through the Caravan Park.
Q2 On reaching the Tea Shop opposite Reception, what is the name of the Caravan Park as shown on the sign?
Leave the Caravan Park and walk along the lane towards another caravan park and just before reaching it turn left onto the old railway track. Follow the railway track back to the Car Park.
